For Tennessee divorce decrees, make check or money order payable to Tennessee Vital Records.
You may order vital records online with a credit card for an additional $10 fee through the Tennessee Department of Health (615) 741-0778. If you have an immediate or emergency need for a certified copy and are willing to pay an additional fee of $10.00 for expedited service, you may telephone or fax your request and charge it to your Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express credit card. Your certificate or other response will be mailed to you within one work day of the day received.
To inquire about records of events from early years that are not maintained by the Office of Vital Records, contact the Tennessee Library and Archives.
