For a copy of a Virginia marriage license, please print and complete the appropriate form, enclose a copy of a valid government issued photo ID, and send a money order or check (payable to State Health Department) to the address below.
By Virginia law, certified marriage certificates have restricted access to family members and their legal representatives for 50 years while those greater than 50 years may be obtained by anyone upon payment of the proper fee.
